Club for people with respiratory disease 

Chest Club event to be held in Airdrie on 23 August 

 

A wide range of information will be available throughout the day at the exhibition’s stands hosted by a variety of organisations. 

Respiratory patients and their families are invited to the third meeting of NHS Lanarkshire’s Patient Chest Club on Tuesday 23 August in Airdrie.

The club is for people from all over Lanarkshire who live with respiratory disease.

NHS Lanarkshire’s respiratory network manager, Maureen Carroll said: “The Patient Chest Club is an informal information event, where people suffering from respiratory disease, along with the families and/or carers, have the chance learn what’s new in respiratory and find out what help and information is available for them locally.

“The programme includes presentations on, breathlessness, oral health education, an overview of less common respiratory conditions, as well as an armchair yoga demonstration.

“Attendees will also have an opportunity to pose their health questions to an expert panel during the question and answer session.”

The event, which is being hosted by the British Lung Foundation’s (BLF) Monklands Breath East Club, is being held on Tuesday 23 August from noon to 3.30pm in St Margaret’s Church Hall, Hallcraig Street, Airdrie.
