Make a FreshStart to brighten up your summer

Have you slipped into a summer slump?

A group of Wishaw FreeStarters

A group of Wishaw Freshstarters out on a healthy country walk earlier this year

The FreshStart lifestyle programme could be just the thing to bring a bit of sunshine back into your life

Maybe you would like to lose weight, eat healthier or stop smoking.  Even small changes in lifestyle can go a long way to improving your health and well-being and enjoyment of life.

Freshstart lifestyle programme is designed to help guide you through every step covering weight management, healthy eating, fitness, mental health, smoking cessation and general well-being with health professionals on hand to offer advice.

Freshstarters will also have the opportunity at the beginning and end of the programme to be screened for blood pressure, cholesterol, height, weight and glucose checks.

Freshstart is for men and women of all ages and is also a great opportunity to find out about health issues and at the same time enjoy a social atmosphere and make new friends.

The next Freshstart programme begins at 9.30 am at Wishaw Library on Tuesday 15 September and at 9.30am at Shotts Healthy Living Centre on Wednesday 16 September.

For further information about Freshstart, please contact the Health Improvement Team on 01698 863235.
