Research and Development
Research and Development has always been a core factor in the processes of the Lanarkshire Stroke Managed Clinical Network (MCN).
The Research and Development Group meet quarterly to discuss current and proposed research projects active with the stroke services in Lanarkshire.
Through working closely with the Scottish Stroke Research Network, we have secured funding for one and a half (whole time equivalent) Stroke Research Nurses in Lanarkshire.
These nurses are currently based at Monklands Hospital and Wishaw General Hospital with the understanding that they will have a presence on the sites where most research activity is occurring at any time.
All stroke research is also supported locally by the Lanarkshire Research and Development department.
