Services

Are you concerned about your child’s speech, language or communication?

The Speech and Language Therapy Service across Lanarkshire now offers a range of services which will provide the public with necessary information on speech, language and communication development in children and young people.

Drop-in Clinics

These are advertised in nurseries and health centres and are designed to encourage parents who have concerns about the speech, language and communication development of their children to come along and receive general advice. They are also suitable for parents who just want advice on normal speech, language and communication development. They take place about once a month in each locality and provide a friendly and informal way of accessing information.

Telephone Advice Line

Commencing 3 September 2009. This will be advertised via posters and flyers. It will be a service offering general advice on speech, language and communication development as well as information about how to access our service.

The number to call is 01236 794102 on any Thursday afternoon between 2 and 4 pm. This service can be used by any member of the public or any professional.
