What is BankAide? 

 
Bankaide is the nursebank within NHS Lanarkshire. It provides temporary staffing in areas where there are short term staff shortages.

Bankaide provides cover for all services within Lanarkshire including the main three hospitals Monklands, Wishaw and Hairmyres as well as all primary care settings.

Approximately 3000 nurses, both qualified and unqualified, are employed with Bankaide. These include clinical support workers, Registered General Nurses, Midwives, District Nurses, Health Visitors and a variety of other specialities.

The diversity of services and wealth of experienced staff within Lanarkshire provides an ideal environment for staff to gain new knowledge and skills.

The nursebank is an excellent route for those who wish to return to nursing or gain an insight into other areas and specialities as well as help those who have chosen nursing as their future career.

BankAide intends to develop the service to include administration and clerical staff.

Terms and Conditions

  • Paid to Grade i.e

    • substantive post D grade mid point – D grade mid point with BankAide
    • Substantive post E grade top point – E grade top point with BankAide
  • All enhanced hour payments including Public Holiday rates Weekly or Monthly pay available
  • Annual leave premium – 8.33%
  • Sickness and maternity pay depending on entitlement
  • Eligibility for ongoing training & development
