On the Ward
You and your baby will be cared for in your allocated ward within the Maternity Unit.
Although we operate as a single maternity unit the wards have a geographical link to your local area and team of midwives.
- Ward 21 receives admissions from Bellshill, Airdrie, Coatbridge and the surrounding areas.
- Ward 22 receives admissions from Lanark, Carluke, Larkhall, Wishaw, Motherwell and the surrounding areas.
- Ward 23 receives admissions from Hamilton, Blantyre, East Kilbride and the surrounding areas.
- Ward 24 receives admissions from all geographical areas. This ward provides care to women who require a more medical approach to the management of their labour and birth.
