Coronary Care Units - Introduction

Lanarkshire has three specialist coronary care units (CCU), with one at each of the general hospitals - Hairmyres, Wishaw and Monklands.

The coronary care units provide specialist medical and nursing care for critically ill patients who have experienced a heart attack or heart failure or are suffering from complex heart conditions.
