Healthspot

Healthspot is a dedicated youth health service which takes place every Saturday at Coatbridge Health Centre.

Young people, aged 12-21, are welcome to drop in anytime between 11am to 2pm for confidential advice and information from health professionals, community and youth workers.

Healthspot is split into two zones:

The Relaxation Zone

Young people can take part in activities including street dance, theatre workshops, Tae Bo, yoga, beauty sessions. There will also be relaxing therapies such as massage and aromatherapy.

The Medical Zone

Young people can speak to a medical professional in complete privacy about any health issues. All medical services are completely confidential.

Youth Health Forum

Healthspot's Youth Health Forum provides young people with the chance to comment on, and influence, local and national health policy. Youth Health Forum has strong links with the Scottish Youth Parliament and Young Scot.

Forum members will have input into the organisation of Healthspot and act as peer educators.

If you are interested in the Youth Health Forum, contact Malcolm McGonigle at Coatbridge Health Centre.
