Generous Donation!
Carnwath Bowling Club have raised an incredible £1,495 for Diabetes. A cheque was presented to the Diabetes Managed Clinical Network (MCN) for the benefit of local people with Diabetes. A core group of local people work very hard during the year and raised this impressive amount at various events including a race night and bowling week.
MCN Manager Helen Alexander thanked Carnwath Bowling Club President, Eric Dick particularly since donations like this are not received very often. June Currie, Diabetes Service Manager promised feedback on how the funds would be spent. The money will provide a boost for local patient education and support for a diabetes information road show. Local GP, Dr Fiona MacGregor and Practice Nurse, Tracy Peat agreed that this would be a valuable addition to the service they provide.
