NHS Lanarkshire has a Managed Clinical Network (MCN) to highlight patient views and to help, encourage and support community and hospital staff and improve ways of working together for the benefit of people with diabetes.
The MCN is responsible for publishing a work plan using the opinions gained from patients, clinical guidelines, government initiatives and directives and their purpose is to drive this plan throughout the course of the year. It is responsible for assembling relevant groups of people to discuss developments to the service and making sure that things happen to the benefit of patients and staff.
