Diabetes Guidelines

One of the ways the NHS ensures that services meet national standards is by agreeing guidelines for how best to manage different conditions. In Lanarkshire we have a variety of diabetes guidelines that have been approved and a number of others under development. Guideline production and updating is the responsibility of the Managed Clinical Network (MCN) Clinical Governance Group.

Please find below a list of approved guidelines:

  • Hyperlipedemia
  • Insulin administration in hospital
  • Lipid management
  • Prevention of cardiovascular disease in people with diabetes
  • Management of chronic kidney disease
  • Management of people with diabetes in labour undergoing caesarean section
