Kilbryde Hospice

The Kilbryde Hospice can be contacted by telephoning 01355 593 484.

Open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
Within the drop-in centre there are four rooms (office, quiet room, therapy and consulting room), as well as an open area for tea/coffee, comfortable seating and an I.T. area. There is also access to a garden area with seating.

Palliative care drop-in services aim to maintain, and as far as possible improve the quality of life for people faced with a progressive illness such as cancer, motor-neurone disease, multiple sclerosis, etc.  This should be a positive experience that aims to enhance and supplement existing services involved in the patients care.

Dr Canning (St Andrews Hospice consultant), holds a symptom control clinic every Wednesday afternoon – GP/Consultant letter required.
No GP referrals are required to access other aspects of the service.
There is a complimentary therapist offering reiki, massage, aromatherapy and reflexology.  A counsellor has recently started one afternoon a week also.

Patients, family and friends can access all services freely.  The unit is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.  A volunteer will meet them on arrival and offer tea/coffee, and then either introduce them to the nurse specialist or make a future appointment.  If you would be interested in becoming a volunteer for the Kilbryde Hospice, please get in touch.
