If you are due to be admitted to a NHS Lanarkshire hospital for a surgical procedure, you will usually attend a Pre-assessment Clinic. Healthcare staff will assess you to make sure you are fit and well enough to have your operation. You will be given detailed written information and have the chance to ask any questions about the operation you are due to have at this appointment.
