Race Equality Scheme

Since the publication of its first Race Equality Scheme in December 2002 and an update action plan in 2005, NHS Lanarkshire has continued to work with service users and providers to look at a number of ways to promote race equality and eliminate race based discrimination.

The Race Equality Scheme - Progress Report 2008 is the second update since the scheme was first written in 2002. It provides a progress report on the actions and work that is being done within NHS Lanarkshire and at a national level. This will be NHS Lanarkshire's final race equality action plan as NHS Lanarkshire will be working on creating and publishing a single equality scheme by June 2009.
