NHS Lanarkshire Ambulance Driver 1969

Almost every person in Lanarkshire will have a story to tell about their experience of the NHS.

You may be a former patient treated at Hairmyres, Monklands or Wishaw General Hospitals, visited family or friends there, used the services of an NHS Lanarkshire health centre, have worked for the NHS as a GP, nurse, hospital worker, dentist, optician or volunteer.

But what is certain is most people living in Lanarkshire are likely to have been touched by the local health service in some form or another.

This page is for you to tell your stories and to learn about the roles and experiences of others in the history of the NHS in Lanarkshire since 1948.

We would love to hear from you. If you would like to share your story, contact Martin Stirling on 01698 245069 or Eddie Docherty on 01698 245242. Alternatively you can e-mail them at martin.stirling@lanarkshire.scot.nhs.uk or eddie.docherty@lanarkshire.scot.nhs.uk
